As the music world tosses and turns, new bands and new boys spring forth as quickly as tiny rabbits.
The slumber of the 70s which saw the mundane businessman’s rise to power and subsequent boredom, is now being dissolved by the “anything goes” artistic freedom of the present day. Whilst cruise-missile contracts and ferry strikes preoccupy the modest Seattle-ite, unknown musical ad-venture awaits those who dare. The first test-tube band, reportedly a group of skin-cell clones from Einstein and the non-resurrected Elvis Presley stalks the streets at night. From their “Manic-Man” castle, high atop Queen Anne Hill, the new music Aeon begins with Mental Mannequin. Musique du Mannequin resembles nothing familiar and will tolerate no labels. This is an original sound, designed to entertain and enlighten with new ideas. Mental Mannequin is made up of three electro-media specialists and the Guitar-Bass-and-Drums regiment that has come to sym-bolize youth in modern times. One such electro-manicure is named Barbie.
This Barbie plays Fender organ, music synthesizers; sings, and writes the songs that make the whole world shrink. This wonderful girl is a central star in the Mental Mannequin band, and admits to seventeen earth years. Tor Richard Midtskog does the electric guitar duties in the setup. Realizing that certain frequency ranges of metallic guitar string distortion are ultimately required to capture the at-tention of teenagers and “Rock Fans” at large, Tor grinds knock-out chord patterns for the masses. Tor also plays keyboards, and will perform Fellini film music on demand.
